Strength of a Nation

RELEASED:
December 17, 2002

Executive Producers: Edward DeJesus and Derrick Dolphin. All work licensed to Alive and Free Records for appearance on the Strength of a Nation A Percentage of the proceeds will go to support youth programs.

“Strength of a Nation” (SON) is a compilation of hard-hitting, clean hip-hop hits that reach America’s youth with the truth about “life in the streets.” Scouring the country for top quality production with insightful, hard-core lyrics, executive producers DeJesus and Dolphin have put together an album for the young and mature alike. With tracks addressing the issues of drug dealing, HIV/AIDS, gun violence and the importance of education, SON is not only a hot “CD,” it is an educational tool for schools, programs and households genuinely interested in reaching out to youth, from a youth perspective, about issues that greatly affect their lives, freedom and future economic opportunity. Executive producers DeJesus and Dolphin have created a special discussion guide to facilitate dialogue among youth and adults about issues addressed in the album. The discussion guide is available to all purchasers of the SON compilation album.
