“Makin It”- The Hip-Hop Guide to True Survival,
is a publication designed to reach young people about the realities of
making the transition from youth to adulthood. Each year despite severe
economic hardship, limited work experience, criminal histories and lack
of a high school diploma thousands of young adults “Make It.”
These are young people that return and complete high school, get and keep
jobs and who become positive contributors to their communities. Through
