Making Connections Initiative
Coming Soon!
In the upcoming two months, YDRF will be facilitating three different
site visit peer matches. YDRF's first TA match will take place in
Kansas City and will match educational experts and GED instructors
from Kansas City with folks from YO Denver around how to facilitate
high quality educational programming for youth that is also culturally
competent. The second match will take place in San Diego and will
include insights and training on 1) establishing and solidifying
labor market connections 2) family and community engagement and
3) collaboration and communication. Finally, a third match will
take place in Washington DC and will focus on recruitment, retention
and engagement. We look forward to bringing you the lessons learned
from these matches and continuing to share with the youth development
community the insights and needs on the ground level of youth service.
If you have any questions or ideas concerning the peer-to-peer project,
please contact Edward DeJesus at 301-216-2050.
